Mary Winkler got less time in jail than a first time drug offender... she killed her husband!
Sentenced to three years in prison, she received probation for most of it, spending only 12 days in jail after her sentencing and two months in a mental health facility before being released.
They convicted her of manslaughter, which means she must have claimed to be temporarily insane. After they let her out they let her regain custody of her kids.
This is disturbing. A woman who is prone to bouts of insanity will have three girls living with her. What's going to happen when they become teenagers? I know teenage girls drive most parents crazy, but Mary Winkler gets the type of crazy that involves knifes.
